Key Connections Consulting Inc. (KCC) is a family centered, multidisciplinary team of professionals including Behavior Consultants, Counsellors, Speech-Language Pathologists, and Occupational Therapists.

Services offered:
→ Behavior Consultation:
- What is it? Consultants design, implement and evaluate strategies that support the goal of increasing the ability of people with challenging behaviors to experience greater success in life. Common areas of support include: difficulty with transitions, anxieties, physical outbursts such as meltdowns, as well as difficulties managing in social situations
- Who is it for? Services can be tailored for children as young as 3 years old, through to adults of all ages. Services are typically provided to parents, caregivers, schools, support services agencies, as well as affected individuals themselves.
- Where is it provided? Home and community settings such as schools, work environments, day and residential programs, leisure activity settings, as well as at our KCC office location.
- Cost? Please contact to learn about competitive rates. Some services may be covered through extended health care or other insurance plans. Service Support Providers such as FSCD (Family Supports for Children with Disabilities) or PDD (Persons with Developmental Disabilities) or other Government services, may cover the cost of this service for persons who qualify through their programs.
→ Occupational Therapy
- What is it? KCC’s Occupational Therapist works to support individuals to more successfully manage challenges they experience in their everyday activities, including physical, mental, and environmental challenges.
- Who is it for? Children, youth, and adults of all ages and abilities
- Where is it provided? Home and community settings such as schools, work environments, day programs, and leisure activity settings, as well as at the KCC office
- Cost? Offer competitive rates. Services may be covered through some extended health care or other insurance plans. Service Support Providers such as FSCD (Family Supports for Children with Disabilities) or PDD (Persons with Developmental Disabilities) or other Government services, may cover the cost of this service for persons who qualify through their programs.
→ Assessments
- What is it? KCC psychologists and clinicians provide a variety of assessments including functional, educational, cognitive, parenting, and those related to the diagnosis of specific disabilities. Through a combination of testing, interviews, observations, and consultations, assessments will identify both strengths and weaknesses and provide recommendations for success
- Who is it for? Assessment services can be administered to individuals of all ages
- Where is it provided? Assessments are conducted in many settings, including home, community, and at the KCC office
- Cost? Costs vary depending on the type of assessment being administered. Some assessments are requested by schools, the court or a lawyer, or government services, and the costs associated with those assessments may not be charged to the individual and/or their parent/guardian.
→ Junior I.C.E.
- What is it? Junior I.C.E. (Independence, Competency, Experience) is an inclusive program designed for youth where all individuals regardless of ability learn together in a safe and friendly group environment
- Junior ICE has 4 Pillars: social skills, life skills, regulation and mental health
- this program focuses on teaching participants social and life skills along with education and support strategies for common mental health challenges, emotional regulation, hygiene, self-esteem and belonging
- the overarching objective of Junior ICE is to provide the tools necessary to promote positive mental health, increased independent living skills and social skills and of course to have a lot of fun
- Who is it for? the target age range is 12-15 years of age
- Where is it provided? At the KCC office location. There may be some programming occurring in community settings to promote application of life skills
- Cost? Program costs will be assessed on a case by case basis. KCC is in continued discussions with funders and other service providers to provide financial support for individuals who would benefit from participating in our programs.
→ Counselling:
- What is it? A variety of approaches are offered, including Play Therapy, Solution Focused Brief Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, EMDR, and Parent Child Relationship Therapy. Counselling addresses relationships, personal growth, mental health, and psychological illness or distress. Other common counselling focuses include resolving specific problems, making decisions and coping with crisis.
- Who is it for? Counselling is available to children, youth, adults, couples and families. Play Therapy can be particularly beneficial approach for children and youth to explore ways to deal with life’s challenges
- Where is it provided? Counselling is typically provided at the KCC office, but other settings have been used, including schools and other community settings, as well as homes.

→ Speech-Language Pathology
- What is it? Assessing and helping individuals who have difficulties with he production of speech sounds, understanding or putting words together to communicate ideas (language) or difficulty with social interactions. Common areas of focus include articulation, phonology and motor speech disorders, language delays and disorders, including expression and comprehension in oral and non-verbal contexts, fluency disorders, including stuttering, social communication skills, swallowing disorders, pre-literacy and literacy skills including phonological awareness, decoding, reading comprehension and writing.

- Where is it provided? Home and community settings such as schools, work environments, day programs, and leisure activity settings, as well as at KCC office

→ Project I.C.E.
- What is it? Project ICE (Independence, Competency, Employment) exists to help assist and equip individuals that need support in functional life skills and/or employment readiness. A core component is the PAES program (Practical Assessment Evaluation System) which is an assessment and job skill teaching resource that individuals participate in small groups for 12 weeks with the support of a fully trained multi-disciplinary staff
- Who is it for? The target age range is 15 yrs through adulthood
- Where is it provided? The KCC office location as well as some community settings to promote application of life skills
- Cost? Program costs will be assessed on a case by case basis. KCC is currently in discussion with funders and other service providers to provide financial support for individuals who would benefit from participating in our programs.
