Help for Resettled Refugees

We are one of 38 Resettlement Assistance Program service provider organizations in Canada. This is a 6-week program to assist newly arrived Government-Assisted Refugees (GAR's) with their resettlement process destined to arrive in Lethbridge.

Program activities can include:

• Meet newcomers at the airport
• Provide temporary accommodation and later assist in finding permanent accommodation
• Provide basic orientation to life in Canada
• Introduction to new community
• Review the rights and obligations of financial assistance
• Links to government programs and community services
