The Versa program provides permanent supportive housing (PSH) for individuals who have experienced chronic homelessness. The program is funded by the City of Lethbridge and builds on the success of SASHA’s residential mental health support program. The main goal of PSH programming is to provide safe and stable housing to participants based on the principles of housing first. Having a home at Versa gives participants who have a suspected or diagnosed mental illness the ability to focus on addressing mental health or addictions issues with staff support.
Clients of SASHA’s residential program may be considered for our permanent supportive housing program in the community. This will help SASHA clients needing less support move into more private community living once they have mastered the residential program. Clients move into a unit provided by Lethbridge Housing Authority, and SASHA provides long term supportive services based on each individual’s needs. Clients may return to SASHA for short stays if they are having difficulty and need more support. Private andlord agreements may also be arranged.
