Programs and Services offered:

  1. Crisis Services
    1. Distress Line of Southwestern Alberta (24/7)
      1. Your first stop if you are experiencing a crisis, (403)327-7905 or toll free 1-888-787-2880
    2. Crisis Intervention Team (CIT)
      1. A 24/7 mobile support service that provides crisis intervention and stabilization to individuals in Lethbridge
      2. Triage Line is (403)381-1116
    3. Community Crisis Beds (CCB)
      1. A community stabilization program for individuals experiencing a mental health crisis. The program offers a 24/7 staffed facility for individuals who need support to stabilize themselves and their mental wellbeing.
      2. Individuals looking to access the CCB must be referred through the CIT
    4. CIT-LINKS Team
      1. A community response team that deploys to support agencies and participants across the community to proactively prevent crisis situations and provide mental health supports and resources
  2. Integrated Coordinated Access
    1. Community LINKS Info & Referrals
      1. Offers support to individuals who are needing assistance in navigating how to connect with community services, completing applications for funding, building a resume, prepping on how to talk to a landlord, creating a budget, etc. This service is available for everyone.
    2. Community LINKS Intake
      1. Community LINKS is able to make referrals to supports such as Permanent Supportive Housing and HomeBASE Adaptive Case Management to connect individuals to services to assist in breaking or preventing the cycle of homelessness
    3. Counselling Subsidy
      1. Available to residents of Lethbridge who require financial support in order to access counselling. Counselling costs may be covered depending on your household income and level of needs.

  1. Diversion Outreach Team (DOT)
    1. Offers a mobile diversion response to vulnerable individuals who may be facing homelessness, mental health concerns or addictions on the streets of Lethbridge.
  2. Youth Programs
    1. Community Approach to Skills Development Training Program
      1. This program offers a variety of hands-on skills training opportunities for persons experiencing mental health issues between the ages of 14-17 years old. The program is designed to assist participants in obtaining skills in areas such as: carpentry, small engine repair and maintenance, welding, food safe handling, metal working, safety training, recreations and leisure, life management skills, and social skills (Recovery College)
    2. Enviro Rangers (July and August)
      1. A youth group focused on developing a sense of community through volunteering in a number of environment-related activities. The program facilitates recreation and leadership activities for children and youth between the ages of 6 and 17 years old with a diagnosis of mental illness, mental health issues and/or behavioral problems
    3. Youth Dreams Bursary
      1. This bursary benefits youth whose lives have been impacted by mental health and are committed to influencing change in themselves, in others, or in their community. It is available to youth throughout the community and offers a chance for them to follow their dreams.
      2. To qualify for the bursary:
        1. The applicant must be between 11 and 18 years of age
        2. The applicant has been affected by mental health concerns themselves or has been impacted by a family member with mental health concerns
        3. The applicant could not afford to pursue their interest without the bursary
        4. The applicant is or will be enrolled in a school
        5. Maximum funding $250.00 per bursary
  3. Peer Support Programs
    1. Wellness Centre
      1. The Wellness Centre provides a central location for both structured and unstructured recreation and leisure activities, peer support and social development opportunities. The location provides access to a computer, internet, telephone, television, games room and a kitchen facility
      2. Referral must be completed by participants case manager
    2. Recovery College Program
      1. Recovery College uses an educational-based approach which focuses on helping people recognize and develop their own resourcefulness and awareness in order to support themselves or their loved one’s recovery journey. All courses are delivered in partnership with peer supporters who are experts by experience: they have their own story of a mental health or substance concern, or are supporting a loved one.
