Mission: BBBS creates individual and group mentoring amongst adults and youth. Mentorship is a two-way, learning and development partnership where the young person needs are placed at the centre. Mentoring is an important way to give youth experience with these essential back-and-forth relationships, developing them into healthy young people better able to deal with and overcome life’s adversities.
Services offered:
- One to One Mentoring
- Community-based Mentoring
- Community-based Mentoring: provides youth ages 6-16 with a role model to talk to and share the experiences of growing up with. Through regular outings, a relationship is developed between the mentor and the mentee, which is built on trust and common interests and is supported by the experienced caseworkers. The result is a life-changing experience for both the mentor and mentee.
